Real notation.
Zero tab.
200+ bass lines transcribed in standard notation, without the distractions and limitations of TAB.
Save time preparing for gigs, work on your sight reading skills, or simply find the dots for the songs you love.
TAB restricts you – relying on numbers means you never learn your fretboard, understand rhythm, or develop your musicianship.
I transcribe every line and write every chart myself.
I'm Tom – a UK working bassist who started out on TAB and switched to notation many years later. I found that there wasn't much out there for electric bassists who wanted to practise their sight reading, apart from nursery rhymes or classical method books, so I started transcribing songs in order to improve my notation skills.
Every chart on this site was written by me for a gig, to help a student, or just because I love the song. I hope they'll save you time in preparing for a gig, planning a lesson, or playing your favourite songs.
